Welcome to "THE TREASURE TROVE!" This is a new website in magazine format, designed to be a prophetic presence, and to provide information to a wide readership on various issues concerning God's world today in a refreshing way! Since the commencement of this site, it has taken the route of devotionals together with prophetic emphasis, and there is a news page which now has a webfeed installed with news from various parts of the world - some of it Christian, the rest being local to that area. If there is anything you would like me to research and report on, write to me. At some point I plan to produce an article on the Persecuted Church, and from time to time I will take a brief look at the political scene in the UK and, possibly, from the US from a Christian perspective.
Book reviews and Christian CD reviews are invited from readers. A letters' page for your news and views is added also. "THE TREASURE TROVE!" editor (which is me!) may not be able to reply to many letters personally (but shall try!) and will aim to give a succinct and helpful answer to the letters that are printed. As this is a new
venture, "THE TREASURE TROVE!" will take
a little time to build up its base, and so:- It is hoped that a 'guest' will be on my site on a monthly basis. In particular, I would like to build up a database of good sermon material. Thus far, building such a database has been a slow process, and in this regard, I ask readers to be patient with someone who is a "learner driver" on the internet scene! I believe there is wonderful scope to reach people with the Glorious Gospel on the internet, and it would be very encouraging if fellow Christians were to 'step forward' to assist by offering an article which I will endeavour to use. Please ministers, dig through your archives and drop something to me by Email. Thanking all of you in anticipation of your time and supply! ***At this point, allow me to remind you of Rev. Jim Patterson, who was a previous "guest" on my Guest Page. He is still there (his picture is anyway!) Look further down as there are also links to his websites. I have completed a brief on his extensive ministry, and the article is retained by him for your readership. Jim is kept very busy in numerous productive ways, and he also regularly updates his pages, on top of everything else he does. Note: to the left of this paragraph Cityvoicelondonuk, of which Jim is "daddy"!!*** "THE TREASURE TROVE!" is in full support of of the Biblical truth that Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven, and that He is both fully man and fully God... the Son of Man and the Son of God. Whilst this site respects the views of other religions it does not accept that there many roads to God. It does accept that within the Church around the world there are many denominations which form the community of God's Loving Family. Christian leaders and ordinary believers seeking unity inter-church as opposed to inter-faith, prayerfully seeking a fresh Move of God's Spirit for the nations, God will honour that unity in His time by pouring out of His Spirit in fulfillment to His Prophetic Word in Scripture and given through His modern day prophets and apostles. Through His finished work by dying on the Cross at Calvary and His Resurrection on the third day Jesus made forgiveness and cleansing from all sin available to anybody who seek and ask Him, and He promises never to turn anyway anybody who seek Him in truth. He died for imperfect people, for guilty people, for people who feel unclean because of their pasts. Jesus wants more than anything to give people a brand new start. If you need a new start today, before you go any further talk to Him. He will hear you. In your own words, offer Jesus your life today. *Remember this quote by best selling author, Philip Yancey, "THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO MAKE GOD LOVE YOU MORE...AND THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO MAKE HIM LOVE YOU LESS". Jesus paid for all our wrongdoings in thought, word, and deed. Don't worry about whether or not you feel any different right now, that's not the criteria - if you allow Him to influence your decisions in life for God, He will change you and your world completely for tremendous good! Jesus Christ physically ascended and is now with God the Father in Heaven and the book of Hebrews tells us that He ever lives to make intercession for us, in other words He is always at prayer and is the go-between us and Father God. He still bears the imprints of the Cross in His hands, and though the physical blood He shed has long since gone (some believe it is in Heaven somewhere - I'll not dispute either way on that one) though we cannot see it, and it was shed some 2000 years ago, the blood of Jesus Christ has never lost its power to cleanse! This is so because He was more than just a perfect man. There is no such thing as a perfect man outside of Jesus Christ, and He was so much more than that! Born of a virgin, begotten not created, Jesus came to die that we might live with Him and the Father in Heaven for ever and ever. He poured out His Spirit at Pentecost (Acts 2) in part fulfillment of the Joel 2 prophecy that God has promised to pour out His own Spirit upon all flesh. The fulfillment of Joel 2 only began in the days of the Early Church, and the completion of this promise is when the Heavenly Bridegroom is presented with a radiant, spotless Bride...the Church (Rev 2). My prayer is that you will enjoy and greatly benefit from raking through my 'box of treasures', and that you will find something of infinite worth and value from the Lord Jesus Christ for your life.
